This wine is moderately concentrated in color with a morello cherry core and a dried cranberry-colored rim. Forward fruit aromas of blueberries, red cherries and açai meet the nose then glide easily onto the palate. A touch of leather in the background coupled with the barest hue of brick at the rim suggest this wine is just beginning to evolve. With soft tannins, striking acidity and plump mid-palate, this seems to be a wine made to quaff and it should do well with a bit of chill given the easy tannins. Its modest concentration, rather simple flavors and dawn of evolution suggest drinking now through 2014 at the latest.
