The deeply flushed, garnet core betrays the first hints of bricking at the rim. The appearance is slightly hazy, suggesting an unfiltered wine. The aromas are reserved, only hinting at berries and forest floor, but the flavors are more forthcoming: vanilla and milk chocolate envelope the black cherries and blueberries. The palate is plump and soft, with restrained acidity and caressing tannins. Made in a more modern style, this is drinking well now through 2015, and should please palates preferring softer styles.
