The deep maroon color gives off crimson highlights, showing evidence of age. The nose is fragrant and open, offering a potpourri of fragrances. Dried plums, Rainier cherry and loganberry cover the fruit aspects while musk, dried leaves and roses carry the rest of the perfume. The tannins are firm but not astringent and the acidity is refreshing. This is a food-deserving wine with good finesse and tugging texture. Despite its merits, this is over-ripe and becoming tired quickly drink up now–2016.
