This is a deep crimson color with a lightly veiled appearance, presumably due to no filtering. The nose works on the autumnal spectrum, showing fall leaves, old cigar and leather. Dried cranberry and tart cherry offer fruity relief on the palate. This wine seems to be fading quickly, though it still offers appeal for those who love old-school styles of Barbaresco. Drying tannins and moderate acidity offer focus, though more fruit is needed to last much longer. Drink up.
