This is a wine of huge personality. In appearance, the extraction of this wine is high, showing a deep ruby color, with a deep ruby core. The aromas include clove, chocolate, cedar and chocolate-covered green pepper , if such a thing exists. The palate is more fruit driven with dried raspberry and prune, but the green pepper dominates the mid-palate and finish. The oak has a firm and lingering presence of clove, cinnamon and espresso bean. There is an enormous presence here, but with power and finesse, and the alcohol is high, but well integrated. Imbibe, in no less than five years.
