Slightly extracted ruby in color, this wine’s notes begin with Bubbalicious strawberry and cranberry, giving way to olive tapenade and garrigue on the nose. The palate is more floral with rose petal, with menthol freshness offering a lift in the finish. A slight tinge of cinnamon lingers. The tannins are assertive, but fine and ethereal. The acid is medium plus as well, and languishes. All components are yet not quite cohesive, so shelf for another five years.
