From the nose to the palate, this wine feels unctuous, despite its moderate alcohol. The nose is like apple pie: densely packed with soft, baked apples, chewy with well-baked crust and topped off with sprinkles of cinnamon. The palate is velvety from the wine’s viscous texture. Though sure to appeal to a number of palates, the acidity verges into the flabby zone the wine needs more support—both for refreshment and to carry the wine more easily into its medium finish.
