This wine’s color is a deep mahogany with copper streaks throughout it. Moderately forward in aromatics, the bouquet shows old leather, tobacco and incense. This wine has fully moved into tertiary flavors, even on the palate. The tannins are pleasantly drying and the acidity is pronounced, showing all the structural characteristics to be expected of Nebbiolo. It’s exciting to see such a ready-to-drink wine on the market—fully-developed and nicely complex. Drink now–2016.
