This wine boasts an impressively opaque and black-laced core with a minute magenta rim. The nose is extremely vibrant and primary, smelling like a winery in mid-harvest season. Cassis, sweetened blackberry, lilac and damp earth create an enticing nose. Plump on the midpalate with generous fruit, soft tannins and nice acidic tension, this is a wine that drinks well alone or with food. The modest finish suggests this is best now–2015.
