Dark magenta in color with a forward nose, this wine is very accessible. It is clean and modern yet true to its variety. The flavors begin with very ripe fig fruit and move into unctuous milk chocolate flavors. Though only 13% abv, this is a plump Dolcetto that is well-framed by lightly feisty tannins and mediating acidity. The finish lingers and offers up savory notes of tobacco and spice box that show this wine is beginning to evolve from its primary youthfulness.
