This wine has an opaque, black core with a mulberry-colored rim. This wine has a pungent nose of tar, minerals, cola, mint and blackberries. If there is any new oak, it is brilliantly integrated as there are no obvious signs whatsoever. The mild tannins and medium-plus acidity offer a nice framework without overtaking this medium-bodied wine. The savory components linger into the medium finish, showing some pedigree. Drink 2013–2017.
