The deep black core of this wine is framed by a small and bright magenta meniscus. Bright and youthful, the nose is equally driven by fruit and mineral components. The palate is surprisingly fragrant with rose-petal top notes ing a gentleness into the more demanding asphalt and black currant flavors. The body is full and the alcohol is high but not at all warm. The fruit is judiciously concentrated for an early-drinking wine, and this wine is likely best now through early 2015.
