This wine has a black-laced core with a vibrant magenta rim. The fruit-driven nose is primed with black currants, blackberries, sloe jam, loganberry and sage. It’s primal on the palate with slightly gamy flavor, and a craggly, enticing rawness to the youthfulness of this fruit. Nonetheless, the tannins are tame and only lightly tugging while the medium-plus acidity is judiciously measured. Drink now through 2016, but it’s much too tasty now to wait long.
