Vibrant yellow in color with a tiny, water-white rim, this sparkling wine smells of Calvados, white peach, straw and anise. Aromatically, it’s a geeky wine. Flavorwise, it is a riotous crowd pleaser. The palate is delicate with fine, miniscule bubbles, bracing acidity and layers of flavor leading to a medium finish. This wine shows charisma and class, and it clearly leans to the feminine side. Its moderate body is beautifully balanced between light alcohol and firm structure. Drink 2013–2016.
