Purple-flecked boysenberry in color, this wine is generous on the nose, full of blueberry, mulberry, boysenberry and spice. The palate is juicy and easy, with soft, rounded tannins and moderate but balancing acidity. Unusual for such a recent vintage, there is a tertiary touch on the palate. Medium bodied, with unobtrusive alcohol and a fast finish, this is an easy and early drinking wine that works well in casual settings. Drink now through 2015.
