Viña Valera 2011 Selección  Tempranillo (Ribera del Duero)

abv: 13.5 | Price Tier: $$

Inky black at the core, this wine has a morello cherry-colored rim and staining legs. The sappy, youthful nose is packed with oak-driven spice and black fruits. The palate is equally dense in flavor and quite weighty, too. Black plum skin, boysenberry, cassis and loganberry bombard the senses. The tannins are round on the attack and elegantly encased in the wine’s full body. Integrated, refreshing acidity keeps everything smartly in balance through the medium finish. Drink now through 2018.
