This wine has a pronounced yellow core and a highly autolytic nose. It smells of toasted white bread, caramel and soy—a highly compelling combination of sweet and savory. Toastiness overtakes the palate, and there is a leesiness that dominates the fragrances. Medium-bodied with medium alcohol, this flavorful wine is no wallflower. Still, its finish doesn’t linger all night. Drink now through 2015.
