Deep blood orange in color, this bottling smells of watermelon and has hibiscus top notes. Its pretty nose is a promising start however, the wine is generously sweet on the attack and its lazy acidity gives the palate a cloying and round quality that further emphasizes its plump, sugary character. There’s a bitter tannin quality akin to amaro on the short finish. Freshness is fading, so drink up now.
