Pitch black at the core, this wine looks like a black cherry with a splash of red at the rim. The fragrant nose offers anise, sweet spice, damp forest floor, baked cherry, dark chocolate and cinnamon spice. The round attack is surrounded by svelte and vaguely grainy tannins, creating a moderately firm palate. It exudes finesse and has an alluring cosmopolitan nature to it that makes it a crowd pleaser. The moderate finish is crammed with clean fruit. Drink now through 2017, while the fruit is still exuberantly youthful.
