The core of this wine is a deep eggplant-skin color, with a medium crimson rim. The nose is packed with succulent sweet spice and ripe peak-of-summer berries. Fallen leaves, caramel cream and toasted walnuts add intrigue. The palate is mouthfilling, but boasts buoyant acidity and suavely managed, medium tannins to rein in the ripe fruit exuberance.
